The very short teaser for season 2 of “Arcane” doesn’t show much, and it certainly doesn’t show what happened after Jinx shot a rocket at Piltover’s government. Instead, it brings back Singed, the mad doctor from Zaun who created the drug shimmer, undergoing a blood transfusion. As we saw in season 1, Singed has an affinity for bizarre experiments, and it seems like he succeeded in a big one.
Indeed, as Singed looks up, we see a big figure in a vat, who looks a lot like “League of Legends” champion Warwick. This seems to confirm the popular fan theory that Vander, the show-original character who served as a father figure to Vi and Jinx, did not die as initially thought, but was transformed into Warwick. Now, Warwick is a proper monster, described in the games as “transformed by agonizing experiments.” If this turns out to be the case, Vi and Jinx have yet another reckoning in their future.
Season 2 of “Arcane” has been a long time coming, but this teaser goes a long way to make the wait for new episodes in November 2024 a bit easier.
