Mark Is Finally Back For More Bloody Superheroics In The Invincible Season 2 Trailer

TRAILERS

With 144 total issues of the Robert Kirkman comic series to pull from, the Prime Video show has a lot of plot to cover, and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down soon. In a July 2023 interview with ScreenRant, Kirkman, who also created and showruns the animated series, explained that Mark’s personal relationships will change in the face of everything he’s been through. “The relationship between Mark Grayson and Debbie Grayson, his mother, is very different when they’re alone,” he told the outlet. “They’re both dealing with the pain of these events in different ways; as a husband, as a son.”

He also notes that Mark won’t have a ton of downtime before he ends up in the thick of conflict again, saying, “They almost don’t really have time to process everything that’s happened with Omni-Man before other problems are arising.” One of season 2’s major themes, according to Kirkman, will be Mark’s fear of turning into his father — someone who he used to look up to, but is now afraid of becoming.

“Invincible” returns to Prime Video on November 3, 2023.
